Hello, I'm Kuku
I’m a game and interaction designer working across game design, visual design, and interactive systems. I graduated with Distinction from University of the Arts London. My work focuses on how people engage with systems — not just how things look, but how they respond, behave, and create experience.
Technically, I primarily work with Unity for both 2D and 3D development, building complete game prototypes and interactive environments. I use C# and Unreal Engine Blueprint to implement gameplay mechanics, character control, and core systems. I also work with JavaScript and Python for web interaction and tool development.
On the visual side, I design UI systems and visual assets using Photoshop and Illustrator, with a solid understanding of 3D workflows for scene and asset production. My background allows me to move fluidly between concept, design, and implementation.
I also write and produce R&B and rap music, and create game sound effects. This influences how I approach interaction — with a strong sense of rhythm, timing, and emotional flow.
My Story
I didn’t begin with design as a discipline. I started from making things respond.
Early on, I was drawn to anything interactive. I cared more about feedback and behavior than appearance. Games became the entry point, and from there I moved into building small systems, experimenting with mechanics, and figuring out how interaction could shape experience. I later studied at University of the Arts London and graduated with Distinction. During that time, my work shifted from isolated visuals to complete interactive pieces. I built game prototypes, designed systems, and worked on how movement, space, and logic come together as a whole.
I worked with the Parvati Foundation on a virtual space project, where I was responsible for scene structure and interactive system design. The project involved remote collaboration across teams in the UK, Canada, and India. I worked on building environments that were not just visual, but functional and explorable, with clear interaction logic behind them.
At the same time, I was teaching digital media as a tutor. I designed and delivered courses covering interaction design, game design, and visual work, guiding students from initial ideas to completed projects. That experience made me more aware of my own process, especially how to turn abstract concepts into something that can actually be built and experienced.
Alongside this, I continued working on music. I write and produce R&B and rap, and create sound effects for games. This runs parallel to my design work and shapes how I think about timing and flow across different mediums.
Now I focus on building work that people can engage with directly. Projects that are not only seen, but used, explored, and experienced in real time.
